Future Talk of Urban Sustainability and Satellite-Based Observations

The Digital Economy research platform at University of Vaasa (Finland) and Regional studies welcomes you to join the future talk focusing on urban sustainability and satellite-based observation.

This future talk aims to promote dialogue around energy and material stocks and flows in urban areas.

The online event in Zoom takes place at 9:30-11:00 EET (UTC+2)

The expert panel of this online event consists of  Sirpa Pietikäinen (Member of the European Parliament), Emma Terämä (Ministry of Finance, Finland), Maria Yeroyanni (European Commission), Paul Hoekman (Metabolism of Cities), and Mikko Strahlendorff (Finnish Meteorological Institute).

These experts are challenged into thinking and discussing how space-based data could be used more efficiently in promoting sustainable urban transition.

Digital Economy research platform at the University of Vaasa is an open research platform for interdisciplinary research on innovations enabled by new technology as well as their impact on individuals, organisations, industry and society.
