Draw a Satellite And Win a Prize!

#MyKvarkenSat – our future satellite

What do you think the KvarkenSat satellite will look like after it’s launched into space? Let your imagination guide your drawing. Participate and possibly win a prize!  All drawings submitted will be stored on-board the KvarkenSat satellite and orbit the planet after launching!

The University of Vaasa, the Kvarken Space Center, and the EU Interreg Botnia-Atlantica project called KvarkenSpaceEco are organising a #MyKvarkenSat drawing campaign. The KvarkenSat CubeSatellite (a type of very small satellite) will be introduced on the 1st of December 2021. The KvarkenSat will be launched into space at the end of 2022 or early 2023.

The KvarkenSat is designed and built as Finnish-Swedish cooperation, and name of our satellite represents the name of the cooperation area. Kvarken stands for the very narrow part of the Gulf of Bothnia (Kvarken, Merenkurkku), which is the maritime region between Finland and Sweden.

There are three age categories for prizes
